Overall a welcoming hotel with a calm air to it. The roof top pool is the perfect haven to relax and cool down after a busy day. Staff at the hotel are friendly and helpful and more than happy to help with sightseeing recommendations.
The San Gil Hotel is housed in a classic building from 1901, restored as a hotel in 1992 and completely renovated in 2000. It was designed by architect Jose Espiau, and has been listed as one of the hundred best buildings in Seville. The hotel is divided into two parts – the Andalusian one and the contemporary one – separated by an interior garden, with small fountains, palm trees and mosaics from the beginning of the 20th century. In the new part of the hotel, on the 4th floor, you will find the swimming pool and the solarium, which are open during the summer season (June-September). The lobby area is quite impressive, spacious and colourful, as the walls are adorned with Andalusian mosaics and the space is decorated tastefully with antique furniture. On the left side of the reception desk is the Breakfast Room and on the right hand side is the connecting door to the new wing of the hotel.
